Trek for Nepal’s Orphans this January
When Grand Asian Journeys heard about the Kumari Project we knew it was something we wanted to support. The Kumari Project’s mission is to “empower and educate orphans in Nepal by providing healthcare, education, nutrition and life skills.” They are accomplishing this through building a safe house that shelters and cares for 25 orphaned girls. Grand Asian Journeys will be operating two consecutive two-week treks in collaboration with the Kumari Project; the routes are Annapurna Sanctuary, and Annapurna Skyline and Jungle Adventure.
Participants who register by November 20, 2015 will receive a $50 Visa gift card to help with thier holiday shopping!
All trip details are online via the links above or at www.grandasianjourneys.com.
Both treks are January 9-24, 2016. The cost to participate in either one of the fully-supported treks is $2,525. Each participant will need to fundraise at least $1,000 to participate in addition to the trip cost. But knowing that all proceeds from these trips will go towards the Kumari Safe House for girls makes it all worthwhile. Your dollars go a long way to protect kids in Nepal!
There are two sides to these incredible treks– humanitarian side and the grand adventure you can experience as you explore Nepal. Some of the highlights include exploring monasteries and palaces in the Kathmandu valley, daily views on some of the highest mountains on earth, and spending time with the locals and kids who live at the Kumari Project.
Grand Asian Journeys is proud to support the Kumari Project, and hopes to inspire others to come along and see first hand the difference they can make as they see the world. Hurry and sign up! January is fast approaching and space is limited.
